In -130, Antiochus VII launched a campaign to reclaim lost territories in Mesopotamia, resulting in the Battle of Ecbatana. However, he was ultimately defeated by the Parthians, marking a significant setback for the Seleucid Kingdom. Another notable conflict occurred in -132, when Antiochus VII faced a revolt led by the Jewish Hasmonean leader, Simon Thassi.
