Ibrahim ibn Tashfin was an Amir who ruled over the Almoravid Caliphate from 1146 to 1147. During his brief tenure, he faced significant challenges, including the ongoing conflict with the Almohads. In 1146, the Battle of Alarcos took place, where the Almoravids suffered a major defeat at the hands of the Almohads. This battle marked a turning point in the power struggle between the two dynasties.
