Domenico Michiel was the Doge of the Republic of Venice from 1125 to 1130. During his reign, Venice faced several conflicts, including the War of Zara (1125-1126) and the War of Bari (1127-1128). In the War of Zara, Venice fought against the Kingdom of Hungary over control of the city of Zara, while the War of Bari saw Venice clashing with the Byzantine Empire for control of the city of Bari. Despite these challenges, Michiel's leadership and diplomatic skills allowed Venice to maintain its influence and expand its territories during his tenure as Doge.
