Engelbert Dollfuss was the Chancellor of Austria from 1932 until his assassination in 1934. Although Austria did not engage in any major wars during Dollfuss' rule, his time in power coincided with the Austrian Civil War of 1934, a conflict between the government and the Social Democratic Party.
