Mamia Orakhelashvili was the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Georgia, ruling over the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic from 1921 to 1922. During his tenure, the region witnessed the Red Army invasion of Georgia in 1921, which resulted in the establishment of Soviet rule. Additionally, the Georgian–Armenian War took place in 1921, as a result of territorial disputes between Georgia and Armenia.
