Kaykaus I was the Sultan of the Sultanate of Rum from 1211 to 1220. During his reign, he faced several significant wars and revolts. One of the most important conflicts was the Battle of Antioch on the Meander in 1211, where Kaykaus I successfully defeated the forces of Theodore I Laskaris, the Emperor of Nicaea. Another notable war occurred in 1214, known as the Battle of Mount Tabor, where Kaykaus I led his army against the Ayyubids and emerged victorious. These wars align with the ruler's known period of rule from 1212 to 1217, showcasing his military prowess and strategic leadership.
