Malcolm IV, also known as Malcolm the Maiden, was the King of Scotland from 1153 to 1165. During his reign, he faced several significant conflicts, including the Revolt of 1153-1154 led by Somerled, Lord of the Isles, and the Wars of the Succession in 1154-1157. These wars were fought between Malcolm IV and his uncle, William I of Scotland, over the succession to the throne. Despite his young age, Malcolm IV proved to be a capable ruler, successfully suppressing the rebellions and maintaining stability in the Kingdom of Scotland.
