Icon Ivan II, Prince (Grand Duchy of Moscow (Mongol Empire)) : All Data

Ivan II, Prince of the Grand Duchy of Moscow, ruled from 1353 to 1359. During his reign, he faced significant military challenges, including the Lithuanian-Muscovite War (1350-1351) and the Second Tver Uprising (1359). The Lithuanian-Muscovite War, which occurred prior to Ivan II's reign, resulted in territorial disputes between the Grand Duchy of Moscow and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The Second Tver Uprising, on the other hand, took place towards the end of Ivan II's rule and was a rebellion led by Prince Dmitry of Tver against Moscow's authority. Despite these conflicts, Ivan II managed to maintain his rule over the Grand Duchy of Moscow.
