    1. Al-Wadiah War


    Was a military conflict which broke out on 27 November 1969 between Saudi Arabia and the People's Republic of South Yemen after PRSY forces seized the town of al-Wadiah on the PRSY-Saudi Arabian border.


    2. Yemenite War of 1979


    Was a short military conflict between the Yemen Arab Republic (YAR; North Yemen) and the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen (PDRY; South Yemen).

  • March 1979: Southern Yemen forces capturied a wide range of Northern territory and besieged the cities of Taizz and Al Bayda.
  • March 1979: The leaders of North Yemen, President Ali Abdullah Saleh, and South Yemen, President Abdul Fattah Ismail, called a bilateral ceasefire in 1979. This marked a significant moment in the ongoing conflict between the two regions, eventually leading to the unification of Yemen in 1990.
