Was a dynasty that ruled the region of Fars (Iran). It emerged from the dissolving Seljuk Empire. In 262 it fell under the dominion of the Mongol Empire.

Establishment

January 1158: When Sultan Ahmad Sanjar died in 1157, the atabegs (governos) of the Seljuk Empire became effectively independent.

Were a series of military campaigny by the Mongols that created the largest contiguous Empire in history, the Mongol Empire, which controlled most of Eurasia.

January 1263: During the closing years of Aku Bakr and Sa'd II, Fars fell under the dominion of Mongol empire and later the Ilkhanate of Hulegu.
