Was a small territory in Italy between 1557 and 1801, orginated from the partition of the Republic of Siena. It consisted in a series of forts on the Tuscan coast. It was always a possession of a larger polity and never independent.

Was the French invasion of southern Italy during the War of the Polish Succession.
2. French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars
